Officiating weddings is one of my favorite ways to minister, for it keeps me constantly in touch with the remarkable power of love in our lives. I have been particularly fascinated by the unpredictability of which of us are drawn together into marriages and by all the languages with which the human heart speaks.
I began officiating weddings in 1991. In 2005, I published my first book, The Wedding Ceremony Planner, to assist couples in designing ceremonies that truly reflect who they are, what they believe in, and what their marriage means to them.
I've run into just about every eventuality, from a flower girl who was afraid of hurting the flowers by pulling their petals off, to a bilingual ceremony with sign language. Whether you have children from a previous marriage you want to include in the ceremony, challenging family beliefs and attitudes, or some other concern, it can be addressed in your ceremony with grace and sensitivity.
Please feel free to contact me about performing your wedding. And, if I don't have the opportunity of officiating at your ceremony, my best wishes to you for a loving, healthy, and joyful marriage!
